WINONA LAKE – Grace College women’s soccer players Meredith Hollar and Abby Schue amassed five Player of the Week awards.

The pair of former Warsaw standouts were both honored by the Crossroads League and NCCAA, and Schue was named the NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week as well.

Schue’s trifecta of awards resulted from a pair of shutouts as the Lady Lancers’ goalkeeper, including an upset of No. 23 Marian. Schue recorded 11 saves against the No. 23-ranked Knights on the road to secure Grace’s 2-0 win.

She also shut out Bethel on Saturday to help the Lady Lancers jump into a tie for third place in the league.

Hollar exploded for five goals in two matches last week, including a hat trick. She scored both of the game’s goals in Grace’s 2-0 upset of No. 23 Marian on the road, netting both in the first 17 minutes of the game.

Hollar then ripped off three goals on Senior Day in Grace’s 7-0 win over Bethel. Her big week moved Hollar into fifth place on Grace’s all-time goals list with 35.
